Oh the pageantry, the glitz, the glamor of a parade! The Teatard offshoot "Remember Us, We The People" wowed ’em with their entry in the Naches, WA Sportsman’s Day Parade last weekend. Here comes….a truck, wait, it’s pulling a trailer made to resemble a Radio Flyer wagon. Ooh!! Ah! There’s more? A man wearing an Obama mask is whipping a teen aged boy wearing a shirt with "Future Tax Payer" scrawled on it, and pretending to pull the wagon, the Obama character holds a sign in his non-whipping hand saying "Hey Kids! Thanks for paying
our debt!" .
Local Tea Party preside Kirk Groenig complained, "When they don’t like your message, they try to deem you as racist, that’s really unfortunate." Groenig was backed by the Lions Club president whose club organizes the event."There’s respect for the position of the presidency, and I think Groenig exceeded
any good taste in his group’s presentation."
Perhaps one writer to the editorial page in the Yakima Herald Republic said it best: " I wished these folks finally admit "you’re right Johnny C, our movement has nothing to do with taxes, personal liberties, the constitution or whatever we just hate having a n-word as a president". Because each time these jack
offs hold a rally they look like an sheet-less Klan rally, sure you see a tax sign here and there but the majority of these signs are so racist it would make Adolf Hitler goes damn that’s racist."
The kicker to this story is that the upcoming Yakima Sunfair Parade has made an exception to the deadline for applications, and approved the float for their parade this weekend, "With some changes."
