There ought to be an Out of Touch Award. While the dubious honor would be hotly contested, West Virginia Senate nominee John Racy would be a front runner. The Republican’s platform is based upon abolishing inheritance tax. Everyone is for abolishing taxes, however, like most Republican references to taxes, this is something which
would affect only those West Virginians who stand to inherit over $3.5 million! Racy brags that he’d be clearing the path to wealth for others who – like himself , have made their money "The old fashioned way" by inheritance. The West Virginian for whom this applies should be greatly cheered by this new opportunity; conversely voters should be astonished that anyone lives among them who is so very insulated from
reality, yet escapes large butterfly nets.
