If there is any remaining question as to whether the various entities known as the Tea Party are indeed mad as hatters, take just one recent slice of events, and you have a multi-tiered
nut cake for tea. The astonishing thing is that there are enough of the frankly racist, ugly, hateful, easily led and mud stupid to follow them! Ironically, I can picture none of them at tea.
A recent fund raising rally for Sharon Angle in San Diego brought out an impressive number of physicians, all belonging to the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. They should be good for some hefty pledges, they might be if all but two weren’t ordinary guys wearing white coats for the event! The group has a list of suspicious sounding beliefs, one of which is that AIDS and HIV have no connection….the others you truly must see, you may be under the influence of mass-hypnosis!
This is must-see story about a solid citizen and up and coming candidate, Rand Paul, and his struggle for a college education despite his extra-curricular activities. I’d guess that his activities included Chess Club, Marching Band, and maybe a run for a class office, but I’d be wrong. Rand hasn’t denied that he took the path less traveled: forcible abduction – and a host of bizarro activities the abductee isn’t likely to forget – unless Paul got her too stoned. By the way, who is the Aqua Buddha? Could this be a clue to Rand Paul’s religious beliefs…she asked innocently.
Only the right wing diva could hotly contend that she’s about liberty and all that stuff – not celebrity, while the cameras roll, catching the moment for her "reality TV show" titled
"Sarah Palin’s Alaska!"
I only wish I could be a fly on the wall at GOP Central, as they try to figure out how to get and/or keep the votes they’ve cultivated from some of the followers of these wing-nuts,
yet be inconspicuous in distancing themselves.
