More than any other single issue, Affirmative Action has brought more African Americans up into the middle class to become contributors to society rather than sucking on it more than any other single factor.
That Affirmative Action hurts those African Americans who have jumped the hood to success and to the suburbs is not only unproven conservative swill but the actual opposite of the truth.
Affirmative Action for whites has been in place in America now for 400 years and seems to done them no harm.
The only real argument against Affirmative Action is that it makes most White Americans angry and more racist than they already are. In fact if you travel through the racist and Aryan websites you will find that it has been their number one issue now going 20 years.
So who will go down in history as doing more harm to African Americans since Jefferson Davis?
Will it be a very white Abrigail Fisher whose name will be forever enshrined in the death of Affirmative Action with Fisher versus University of Texas at Austin.
Will it be her white Lawyer Edward Blum who has dedicated his wealth, time and entire life to defeat Affirmative Action?
Will it be Ward Connerly, a black man married to a white woman who has dedicated his entire life to the destruction of Affirmative Action?
Will it be Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, a black man married to a white woman who has done everything he can to destroy Affirmative Action including decrying the 1954 unanimous Brown V Board of Education as bad law? Adding to that is this gigantic stinky pile of hypocrisy:
“Affirmative action is critical to minorities and women in this society… But for affirmative action laws, God only knows where I would be today. These laws and their proper application are all that stand between the first 17 years of my life and the second 17 years.” Clarence Thomas 1983.
Or will it be Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia who just yesterday treated us with the basis of Charles Murray’s THE BELL CURVE and Rush Limbaugh’s ESPN commentary that Negroes are not inherently smart enough to go to good schools or be NFL quarterbacks?
It seems we have three different issues in addressing our question. A life’s work, successful African American men who benefited from Affirmative Action now decrying it for all other African Americans and what history will have to say about it.
Life’s work – puts Ward Connerly and Edward Blum at the forefront, but even now who knows those names?
African American hypocrites – which makes Ward Connerly and Clarence Thomas turning on their own exceedingly ugly?
Antonin Scalia, one of four OR FIVE Supreme Court justices keeping millions of African Americans from colleges, jobs, and contracts?
Or Miss Abrigail Fisher, who if this passes, will have her name FOREVER enshrined as the white woman who did more harm to the African American community than anyone since Jefferson Davis?
Or is it all Al Sharpton’s fault?
