Ex husband James Reynolds Sr. is President of the Cancer Fund of America. As you’ll see, a few dollars get through his fingers in little ‘gifts’ like disposable diapers.  Their son has his own business, James Reynolds is CEO The Breast Cancer Society – and who isn’t donating to a breast cancer society these days? As you can well guess…people with good intentions are donating, but the money isn’t going to help those with cancer, it is going to enrich the Reynolds clan.  I’m not saying do not donate. What I am saying is that there are many places to donate, and they have similar sounding names. Do your homework first.

This is the tip of the iceberg. Every year, Kids Wish Network raises millions of dollars in donations in the name of dying children and their families. Every year, it spends less than 3 cents on the dollar helping kids.  Most of the rest gets diverted to enrich the charity’s operators and the for-profit companies Kids Wish hires to drum up donations.
In the past decade alone, Kids Wish has channeled nearly $110 million donated for sick children to its corporate solicitors. An additional $4.8 million has gone to pay the charity’s founder and his own consulting firms.
