Antnony Bourdain on that one street of reaching out to Deplorables

. Anthony Bourdain closed out his year with a call to reach out to the Trump voters who hate liberals even more than they hate Muslims, Mexicans, African Americans, gays, transgenders, immigrants, foreigners and of course uppity white women.

He knows this works because after doing one of his shows sucking up to Ted Nugent – a full bore racist, bigot, homophobe, misogynist, always armed gun lunatic and the greatest shooter of animals on Earth, Nugent saw the light and reciprocated by calling President Obama “a sub human mongrel.”  See? It works.

“The utter contempt with which privileged Eastern liberals such as myself discuss red-state, gun-country, working-class America as ridiculous and morons and rubes is largely responsible for the upswell of rage and contempt and desire to pull down the temple that we’re seeing now.

“I’ve spent a lot of time in gun-country, God-fearing America. There are a hell of a lot of nice people out there, who are doing what everyone else in this world is trying to do: the best they can to get by, and take care of themselves and the people they love. When we deny them their basic humanity and legitimacy of their views, however different they may be than ours, when we mock them at every turn, and treat them with contempt, we do no one any good.”

Okay Anthony, when Donald Trump, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Mark Levin, all of talk radio, Fox News and the 62 million who voted for Trump reach out to liberals I’m with ya. But until then get out of the way of the bowling ball.

Listen Tony, I have never been near either coast, I have lived in trailer parks, most all my friends are working class, I hunt and fish and drink with them. Since I moved to Texas everyone I know is now a Trumper. So unlike you having a beer and some food talk while filming such people for a few minutes, I live with them and know them very well. And I agree that if you stay from issues of guns, race, religion and politics they are fun to be with and easy to dance with.

Anthony Bourdain Is No Fan Of ‘Insufferably Smug’ Bill Maher

And Anthony sure doesn’t like Bill Maher.

“Insufferably smug. Really the worst of the smug, self-congratulatory left. I have a low opinion of him. I did not have an enjoyable experience on his show. Not a show I plan to do again. He’s a classic example of the smirking, contemptuous, privileged guy who lives in a bubble. And he is in no way looking to reach outside, or even look outside, of that bubble, in an empathetic way.”

Insufferably smug?  I was just going to say that about Anthony Bourdain. So unlike those empathetic, compassionate, caring individuals who never even peak out from under their bubble of ignorance, bigotry and hatred. Ever see a Trump rally? Watch a clip of a Hillary rally then watch a clip of a Trump rally to see just how ridiculous that is.

But for those who agree and want to reach out to these people who believe Donald Trump is a wonderful human being and the answer to all their woes, yall need to make a few philosophical changes.

Like realizing education is for schmucks, abortion is murder and will be treated as such [with Trump saying the women will be punished along with the doctors], that social programs will be slashed in favor of tax breaks for the wealthy, no minimum wage, removal of 20 million people from health insurance, birth certificates checks to take a leak, removal of the separation of church and state, a gun in every hand, deny evolution, deny global warming and blame every problem you have on Mexicans, Blacks, Muslims, immigrants, foreigners, uppity women, liberals and transgender children. Oh damn, I forgot torture and rounding up Mexican families to concentrate in prison camps.

And then join hands and waltz into the new age based up simple solutions, pseudo-science, fake news and gut feelings.

Anyone remember the images from The Cultural Revolution in 1970’s ChiNA? Pickup trucks with people strapped in the back wearing high dunce caps and sent to re-education camps or executions. Teachers, professors, scientists, journalists and anyone else smarter than a brussel sprout.
