Last year the NBC Nightly News spent a total of 25 minutes, all year, with stories about climate change the most important issue of our time.
9 million people watch NBC nightly news each night, that’s 10 times as many as watch CNN, Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert and even 5 times as many who watch the paragon of fair, balanced and truth Bill O’Reilly. If just NBC has 9 million nightly viewers and we add ABC and CBS to that I would guess it would be about about 25 million viewers. Who are they?
Personally I have not watched evening network news or local news in many decades, not only do I have a family to deal with during that family time, but I have something they call the internet.
So who are those 25 million people? I would guess it is mostly nursing homes, but then FOX NEWS is pretty much locked in with remotes taken away. So I guess it’s people who do not have cable, the internet or a smart phone. Which I guess would limit it to those over 75 years old.
Wait a minute. Nightly News is actually the lead in and part of the two hour block that includes pre local news, official local news and Vanna White. So there is the weather and sports. But again what need if one has cable, internet or a smart phone?
As to NBC Nightly News discarding Climate Change there is also this:

On the committee level, 13 out of 21 Republican members of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology, or 62 percent, reject the science behind human-caused global warming, joined by 67 percent, or 21 out of 31 Republican members, of the House Energy and Commerce Committee…In addition to Inhofe, 10 out of 11, or 91 percent, of Republicans on EPW have said climate change is not happening or that humans do not cause it. And why would men and women smart enough to get elected deny the obvious proven truth in the matter? Easy answer, Koch money. Citizen’s United. Bribery at the highest levels of any nation on Earth.
28th Amendment: No person, corporation or entity of any sort including one’s self shall be allowed to give more than $100 to any one person or political organization per year seeking local, state or national election under penalty of law.
And we could call it The Citizen’s United Amendment, for what goes by that name today is in reality the Wealthy Corporation United decision.
If that were to be ratified within a year we would not only start doing something about Climate Change, but we would have a single payer health care system.
You know, a strong majority of Americans want more gun controls, less money in politics, believe global warming is real and man made, less religion shoved at them, and want a single payer health care system. We have none of those things because Republicans do not accept the concept of DEMOCRACY. For if they did, they would be out of work. They only way they can hold power is to game the system one way or another. Ad we all know it and don’t care enough to do anything about it.
