Democrats Have a Serious Branding Problem - The Jim Jefferies Show Comedy Central

Jim Jefferies highlights the Democrat’s latest uninspiring slogan, and offers suggestions on how the party can better sell itself to American voters. Gearing up for 2020, Democrats are in it to win it, and pushing a brand new slogan: “A Better Deal, Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future” It doesn’t roll off the tongue, but it slips from the memory. Trump may be an idiot, but his short, simple slogans work – and they fit on a hat. “Make America Great Again” is memorable. The new Democrat’s slogan is long, meandering and it barely fits on two hats! No crowd will be able to repeat this slogan with the joy and ease of the much-loved Trump favorite “Lock her up!” 

Of course the Democrats have a good message! You won’t hear Republicans admit that the corrupt economic system favors the wealthy. Nor will they admit that working class families are getting screwed. A great slogan for Dems to draw attention to this idea would be – something familiar. I know! “Drain the Swamp!” Of course this one’s already taken by people who may not realize the irony, but Jim has a few ideas that will enable Democrats to hold to our high ideals and create memorable slogans that also fit on a stupid hat.
