Betty Bower’s video send-up titled “The Alliance for a Scared America” is inspired by the spanking new Cheney video production, announcing an organization they call “The Alliance for a Strong America.”
In the genuinely scary Cheney video, Dick Cheney, oddly dressed like Ben Cartwright from Bonanza, stands with his daughter Liz pitching their new pet project. The target audience seems to be hawkish Republicans who are likely to support a 2016 candidacy by Sen. Rand Paul.
Why the emphasis on a ‘strong’ America? Because “Our enemies no longer fear us!” Oddly, it was the American people who were terrorized during the Cheney years. Will we ever forget the color-coded ‘terror alert’ announcements which informed us how high the threat of terror was each day.
Liz Cheney explains the rationale for the organization. “We know … that there is no substitute for American leadership around the world.” With the Cheney’s help, we can be fighting and monitoring governments everywhere! The Alliance is a self professed means to to keep our armed forces engaged for ‘security, peace and freedom. See if you can fill in the blank. ” Fighting for peace, security and freedom is like —- for virginity.”
Having openly made a pact with Satan – who has no desire to see Cheney sharing his realm, Cheney has an abiding interest in ‘protecting the nation’ through military actions which are devastating to our own and other countries, but which pay off handsomely for soulless war profiteers.
