Rick Perry 2016! With the announcement that he would not seek another term as Governor of Texas, Rick Perry is now on the short list as a 2016 Presidential Candidate in the Republican Primaries.
Is it possible that the 2016 GOP primaries could be an even bigger circus of clowns than it was in 2012? Ted Nugent says he’s running. Rand Paul is in for sure. Donald Trump has said he may make a serious run this time. Did Michele Bachmann quit so she could spend more time running for President? Ted Cruz seems to want to get into it. Rick Santorum is a for sure. I don’t know if they have found an African American more of a joke than Herman Cain yet, but they have time to look around. I think Ward Connerly would be a good pick. But Allan Keyes is still around.
Marco Rubio is a for sure too, which would make him the only non clown in the ring, the Mitt Romney of 2016. And there is that sleeper Jon Huntsman…
With the GOP abandoning any change they were talking about after losing the last election – now doubling down on their war on women, Hispanics, African Americans, the poor and the young – they may very well take the Senate and garner more House seats in 2012. After all, the whiter people see themselves as, the more they tend to vote.
