I spend 13 months about 120 meters from the DMZ markers as did many thousands of other American soldiers, then as now, everyone of us knew that if some President screwed the pooch, we would all be dead in a few hours as 10,000 artillery pieces and 4 million North Korean troops swept to Seoul. Whether they made it that far or not we would never know, or care.
