Newt’s response was that he meant SELL drugs. And then he doubled down to say we would execute them 35 at at time.
The other intellectual conservative of my generation, Billy "Jackboot" Bennett, the family values spokesman who dropped millions playing video poker in his hotel room had this to say at the time.
"Casual drug users should be shot. Dealers should be beheaded. I have no moral problem with beheadings." Bill Bennett
His response to that was that it was taken out of context because he meant those who SOLD drugs to children. So guess what? About 90% of drugs sold to children are sold to them by… OTHER CHILDREN!
Mass executions and beheading children are the stuff from the INTELLECTUAL BASE of the GOP.
