But sadly this will not transcend to votes or power. You have heard about Texas turning purple I am sure. Don’t hold your breath. In fact few of us may live long enough to see that happen.
2014 we had popular well funded Democratic candidates for both Governor and Attorney General, both who lost to Tea Party Republicans by more than 20 points. And even that aside, Republicans have so much control of county and state politics here in Texas they can keep on gerrymandering, suppressing the vote, and using all that oil money to keep control far past my lifetime. Same can be said for the House and about half the states. It will take a generation at least. And by that time the GOP will have turned the Earth into a irreversible oven.
On the up side Democrats have two things going them. It is doubtful Republicans can get the White House ever again, and with that comes control of the Supreme Court.
