Austin’s ‘South by Southwest’ music festival draws music lovers from far and wide. Often the people who come to music festivals pride themselves on being in the inner circle, where they’re the first to know the new acts – even if they’re not aware that the trendy new acts don’t actually exist.
As an example, the man in the photo expresses his hope that “Contact Dermatitis.” will spread throughout the U.S.A….Like a rash. Likewise a fan of “DJ Metamucil” craves another dose. Even Tonya Harding has been re-born musically with ‘Sorry About That, Nancy,’ which was enjoyed greatly by the avant-garde.
Jimmy Kimmel sent a camera crew into the streets of Austin to ask SXSW attendees about bands that do not exist in this realm.
