On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Seth takes ‘A Closer Look’ at the inconsistencies of mild mannered maniac, outrageous liar, and Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson.
Recently Ben Carson has come under attack from fact-checkers, after statements in his biography proved to be untrue. Why can’t they just take Carson’s word that he hit his mama on the head with a hammer, tried to stab someone and was offered a full scholarship at West Point? Okay, it is extremely creepy when Carson recalls the alleged violence with a fond little smile.
Carson rails at the ‘liberal gotcha media’ – claiming that even ‘No Birth Certificate Obama’ didn’t receive the level of scrutiny that he is getting. Do you see why Carson’s stunning lack of perception is disturbing?
Seth’s entertaining presentation is not to be missed, but it arrives at an important point. It’s easy to get sidetracked by Carson’s wild, self-aggrandizing tall tales – but we shouldn’t ignore his actual policy statements. Carson claims a lack of guns led to Hitler’s Germany, and that he’s completely ignorant of the factors that truly led to Hitler’s rise. Also, he is more than a little fixated upon the little dictator with the mustache.
The fact that Carson believes Obamacare is ‘the worst thing that’s happened to this country since slavery’ probably shouldn’t escape our notice.
I wonder what he would do to prevent a person of the Muslim faith from holding the very office to which he aspires, and shouldn’t a man of his position know some peaceful Muslims?
Then again…The bad painting of Carson and Jesus which hangs in his home, may be the frosting on the nut cake that is Ben Carson…Did we really need to know the rest?
