Bill Maher asks why Republicans can get away with most anything while Democrats cannot? One reason could be how just in one hour tonight Bill Maher gave Republican Milo Yiannopoulos a free ride while giving a kick in the face to Democrat Jeremy Scahill who chose not to appear on a show with the top hatemonger in America.
The larger answer to that is of course that Republicans have successfully removed any negative connotation to hypocrisy a generation ago. Hypocrisy no longer matters one wit to them. Well neither to themselves or the working class nitwits that vote for them. Republicans learned long ago that there were not enough rich people to keep their party viable. That they needed to include a larger group to win elections.
The plan was not that complicated and it worked beyond their wildest dreams.
Play to the religious intolerance, the bigotry, the racism, the ignorance, the drinking and drug problems of dull rural Americans and they will vote for Republicans no matter how hard the GOP kicks them in the economic ass.
Simple math. Republicans understand that there are a lot more stupid people than there are smart people. Though I am sure even the RNC was surprised a few months ago as to just how really stupid they were.
We will take less pay, less wages, less salaries, less health care, less education and give the wealthy more of the pie, more dirty water, more dirty air, more more tax savings, more power to screw us over. Just for the satisfaction of giving anyone smarter than we are the finger.
