Seth Meyers takes a closer look at FBI Director James Comey’s defense of his last-minute election revelations, while Republicans scramble to get their health care bill through the House.
Republican’s hearts simply aren’t in it. They have zero interest in providing health care for the great unwashed masses. Freedom Caucus centerfold Mo Brooks illustrated that point, while defending punitive action for those with pre-existing conditions. In Brook’s philosophy, people are sick because they live bad lives and make poor decisions; consequently they should pay more than healthy people, who live good lives! Gosh, it’s so simple.Seth quips: “People who are sick lead bad lives? If that were true, Donald Trump would have died 3 yrs before he was born.” When I reference ‘Republican hearts’ it was just a turn of phrase, there is no evidence to support biological hearts in Republicans.
FBI Director Comey testified in the Senate that it was necessary to reveal his decision to reopen the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails – 11 days before the election…Because, Anthony Weiner – right? In a similar vein, Comey wrestled with the decision to keep Trump’s Russian connections under-his-hat…so we could have a fair election.
