Comedian Louis C.K. knows he may offend some fans by declaring his vote is going to Hillary Clinton, but – as he told Conan, he feels strongly about the talented, smart, tough candidate. It doesn’t hurt that Hillary would be our first Mom President after 240 years of mostly well-meaning dads, either.
One of the important duties of a president, as CK sees it, is to act as a scapegoat. When you’re drunk and want to heap blame on someone, the POTUS is the clear choice. Clearly Trump is too thin-skinned for that role, but Hillary has been in training for at least thirty years. She remains composed, and like a good mom, she will continue to work in your behalf.
The comedian reserves special, emphatic encouragement for whiny, discouraged or simply uninspired voters. For those who suffer election ennui, this video may be a tonic of sorts. You may feel moved to vote, even in the absence of total and complete love for the candidate, or the tone of his/her voice, eye color or sun sign.
