The flag flies over the South Carolina state house and state issued confederate license plates have the full backing of Governor Nikki Haley, Senator Lindsay Graham and Senator Tim Scott. Senator Scott who is a what we now call transracial. To be clear the front plate shown above is not a state issue and the confederate battle flag flies in front of, not on top of the South Carolina capital building.
