Nothing very surprising from the state of Jan Brewer, Sheriff Joe Arpio and racist representative who began all the racist legislation William Pearce (who was recalled last year for being too racist for even Arizona). This law was passed and signed by Brewer in 2010. It is in the news because the Arizona Superintendent of schools thinks it is such a good law that he wants to expand it to also ban ethnic studies in Arizona. I find three things interesting in all this.
The reason for banning Mexican American Ethnic Studies was because THEY SAY it made Hispanics RESENT white people. This should remind you of another topical issue of the day. Stand Your Ground Law where because THEY SAY they are AFRAID they can shoot whomever they please, wherever the please.
Next we have school board member Michael Hicks who says that African Americans are "about" one quarter equal to white people. What is interesting is that to Fox News, Talk Radio, the Republican Base, the GOP and the media Mr Hicks cannot be accused of racism or be called a racist. Out in Arizona they have changed the name of racism to "nativism" and racist to "nativist". To be a racist anywhere down here in Okra Land you must have either owned a slave, lynched a Negro or burned a cross on an African American lawn.
And lastly, with the Obama Administration now considering Arizona a tossup state because of this very kind of racist swill that the growing Latino demography finds so disgusting, that these nitwits are doubling down with it.
