The deja vu of this one has me lost in the past. I seldom blow my own horn around here but I was screeching this same Tinkle Down theory of Yellow Rain to forums in 1984, in my hard copy newsletter in 1993 and on my website since 1996 without a break. It took 26 years for me to see someone else say it. And a furiner! Still nothing on the term I came up with 20 years ago "Conservatively Incorrect" though. Only liberals are word nazis, conservatives get a free ride for some reason. Though I think it may be that it is just too complicated a subject for most Americans to understand.
I have an issue with the writers of the Daily Show. They do not seem to understand the low attention spans of most of their audience, especially online. They should be breaking their stories into smaller packages. This one should be two, John in one and Jon in the other. Most of their vignettes average around 10 minutes, twice as long as most anyone online will stick with The Colbert Report writers are much better at that. The stuff on both shows need far more exposure to keep this country from falling into a fascist theocracy which seems to be where it is going. They should also, as should HBO regarding Bill Maher, allow their stuff up on YOUTUBE.
