Larry Wilmore explains what the five new rules Republicans should follow to reach out to minorities:
1) STOP SUPPRESSING THE BLACK VOTE!
2) Better hide their lack of enthusiasm
3) Better Conceal their cynicism
4) Find better black spokesmen
5) Don’t say racist things
You know this brings up the current cultural change in America concerning Gay Marriage. Why has that worked so well and so fast while racism directed at African Americans has been so ponderously slow and weak? From freedom to the end of apartheid took 100 years. From the Supreme Court Brown v education outlawing segregation to implementation took 10 years. Gay acceptance and gay marriage have gone from 60% against to 60% for in about 5 years. There two reasons why that is.
First is most Americans have accepted the truth of what civil rights communities have been asking them for years. What skin is it off your nose? As we have come to see, the answer to that is, NONE. On the other hand, conservatives can point and click to Blacks and Mexicans taking their jobs, all being on welfare that they have to pay for, stealing all their stuff, shooting grandmas and babies, and having to spend thousands of dollars on assault rifles and ammo to keep them from amassing assaults in their bedrooms.
Secondly most all of us now know a nice gay couple who we wish the best for. On the other hand our rural population has never seen a gay couple. That is because every gay man or women knows to get the hell out of Bumfck as fast as they can. And you know, these are also the same people who have seldom if ever seen an African American in real life. To them African Americans are all P Diddy Dum Do, Doggy Rap Cash Ho and Al Sharpton.
