Something Republicans could care less about as it is at odds with the very essence of everything they stand for, handing over ALL the cake to the wealthy who support them. The religious intolerance and racial, ethnic and sexual bigotry are of course proudly trumpeted, but secondary, and mostly to make their ignorant voting base happy. You now having the wealthy given massive tax breaks in times of war was once considered not only unAmerican, but treasonous and seditious.

There’s growing evidence that the toll of our stunning inequality is not just economic but also is a melancholy of the soul. The upshot appears to be high rates of violent crime, high narcotics use, high teenage birthrates and even high rates of heart disease.
