Droning on about why Muslims hate us, Bennett cartoon

drones

I know this is hard for most Americans, especially Republicans.  But hold your breath and imagine how you would feel if  Hindus were dropping Cruise Missiles on your pastor or priest and half a dozen innocent Christian bystanders in your town? Or Hindus sending unmanned drones to kill your preachers and Bishops and half a dozen innocent Christians about once a week in your neighborhood?  Or Hindus coming over here to bomb the living crap out of you? Then coming back to bomb the living crap out of us in an invasion to take over everything including Washington DC? Or armed Hindus with turbans kicking in your doors to take your children away?  Or Hindus coming to invade and take over because they don’t like your brand of Evangelical Christianity?  Not only killing hundreds of thousands of Christians, but being friends to the end with Iran, a country we hate.

But you see, that argument does not work, it is unAmerican to stand in another’s shoes.  I know every one of you reading this has been there with a Republican on the others side of the table to ask “What if you were gay, poor, homeless, addicted, in jail, a Mexican immigrant or a hungry child?”

You will hear the same answer over and over again filled with bootstrap speeches, law of the jungle platitudes, and a joyful callous disregard for anyone or anywhere outside their own family or specific political or religious class.  It is so pervasive, it is so intense, it is so impossible to get past that it  must be genetic in nature.

Some people are just born selfish a wholes.  Rush Limbaugh understands. He has made half a billion dollars on making selfish a wholes feel good about themselves.
