Jean-Sun Hannah Ahn who was crowned Miss Seattle on Saturday night is already in hot water for Tweets she sent in December about the Emerald City and its’ inhabitants. ‘Emerald’ sounds better than ‘The Mossy, Mold Encrusted’ City – I presume…But I digress.
Having snagged the Miss Phoenix crown, Ahn moved back to the city of her birth and was soon venting in a cozy little place called Twitter. The complaints, now forgotten by the author, were discovered by a reporter within days of her selection as the smiling face now representing Seattle. In part, the 22-year old Tweeted; "Ew, I’m seriously hating seattle right now Take me back to az! Ugh can’t stand cold rainy Seattle and the annoying people." Miss Seattle admitted that she "Wasn’t in a positive place" when she wrote the comments.
