In this hilarious clip, Howard University freshmen are stunned when a beaming First Lady Michelle Obama appears with Seth Meyers to answer their questions and advise them on issues of importance like studying, parties, phoning home and nutrition.
“Daddy” Seth and “Mommy” Michelle even role-play as loving parents to impress upon the students that it’s vital to call the parental units. After a moment of affectionate chat, ‘dad’ asks ‘mom’ to drop the line, while he pleads with their daughter: “Last week I caught her braiding the cat’s hair, and this week she’s walking around saying she’s Michelle Obama.” The upshot is, you’ve got to phone home more often!
Meyers and Obama don’t present a united front on everything, as you’ll see when the two present their ideas of a perfect diet for the student. Just be aware, if you decide to go with Seth’s balanced diet, I’ve found that M&M’s – in varied colors, can be substituted for Skittles.
