In Rewrite, Lawrence O’Donnell reacts to Bill O’Reilly’s claims that the nuclear emergency unfolding in Japan is being "hyped and overplayed." This is an ironic statement from someone who makes a living on hype and misinformation dissemination. Why does O’Reilly want to downplay the seriousness of this situation?
