What a day for Bill O’Reilly to launch an attack on the veracity of MSNBC! Fox Fellow Sean Hannity decanted a magnum of bubbly frothy lies about the Obama administration. From the economy to foreign policy Hannity held forth, ending with the whopper of the week. "Osama Bin Laden (death) wouldn’t have happened if he (President Obama) had his way, and TAPES prove it!"
Naturally Ed Schultz was interested in seeing or hearing these tapes, and Hannity responded in what sounded like a non sequitur – but no tapes are forthcoming. I suppose the tapes will surface when Hannity makes good on his promise to endure waterboarding – because ‘it’s not really torture.’ Oddly, the fun water sport Hannity weaseled out of trying is the very thing he claims is responsible for Obama’s capture of Bin Laden. This is truly peculiar in light of Bush’s statement soon after 9/11 that "I truly am not that concerned about him," speaking of Bin Laden.
In other words, Bush had no intention of harming a scraggly hair on Bin Laden’s head. However, if Bin Laden had slipped in the tub and knocked himself into the next world accidentally, Bush would have been carried up Fifth Avenue in a ticker tape parade. Banners would proclaim "Mission Accomplished – Again" and his face would now adorn Mount Rushmore. President Obama continues to make good on his promises to take out the leaders of Al Qaeda, right the economy and provide health care. You won’t hear any of that on Hannity, but if some flea-bitten yahoo raises another question about Obama’s birth certificate – rest assured Fox will be on top of it.
