Hillary Clinton spoke at a Clinton Global Initiative University event in Tempe Arizona, and if I said she answered questions, I’d truly be bound to say she answered the same one, rephrased repeatedly both by monitor Jimmy Kimmel, and an audience member:” Are you going to run for president?” Mrs. Clinton demonstrated the grace and quick thinking which have served her well in public life.
The panel including husband Bill and daughter Chelsea and monitored by Jimmy Kimmel, and had its lighter moments and sober ones as well. We now know that Hill and Bill won’t be having any more children. They may use the old yard signs from the last campaign, and it’s still iffy as to whether Chelsea will get her old room back, or the folks will turn it into a home gym, if they move back to their previous residence.
But seriously folks. Stop the nagging Jimmy. Clinton won’t decide whether to run before the end of the year. She will continue a speaking tour, and promote a new memoir that focuses on her time as a diplomat. Clinton said that an assault by militants on a U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans in 2012 was her greatest regret as secretary of state, and Republicans continue to try to use the episode to portray her as incompetent on foreign policy.
For those who can read…Sorry that was snarky. For those inclined to read, and who’ve tired of the knee-jerk Benghazi response, as well as fans, Hillary Clinton’s new memoir may be a revelation. For good or ill – depending upon your standpoint, it will lend clarity and insight to her accomplishments and competence in her position as secretary of state
