Jon Stewart misses it, finds himself screaming at the animals on his farm about Trump. So he came back with his pencil and laid waste to the pathological liar running the country.
This piece brings round the semantics of alternative facts, lies and liars. You see, it has somehow come to be that if a liar lies and does not believe his lies are lies, then they are not lies but alternative facts. And alternative facts are okay.
So the game is now to show that Trump knows he is lying and is lying on purpose. Which Jon Stewart proves because Trump precedes his lies by saying “believe me” which is a dead giveaway.
On the other hand if Mad King Donald does indeed not know his lies are lies, then he is perhaps the most ill informed nitwit to ever wear a red tie.
Which takes me back to something I said 23 years ago.
Republicans fall all over themselves laughing themselves silly hearing liberals called every name in the book, but when it comes back at them in like manner, and more deservedly so, they climb the walls so high they get their red ties entangled in the ceiling fan and spin ‘round and ’round with arms and legs a flailin’, ka-knocking their hardwood heads against the walls.
