The Obama administration paid less than a billion dollars (Republicans paid a trillion for their wars), no Americans were killed and one of the worst African dictators is dead. And REPUBLICANS not only said President Obama was wrong from the very git-go, but that he has now created more problems by helping win this war.
Did you notice that Republican crowd cheering Herman Cain when he was talking about his 2000 mile electrified fence? And then cheering even louder after he said, "On their side will be as sign that says, this fence will kill you!"
And half the people in this country vote for these selfish, intolerant, bigoted, violent, stupid, disgusting miscreants. Because American representatives of Jesus Christ say so, contrary to what Jesus actually says.
Jesus says:
You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you. (Matt. 5:43-44)Jesus says:
You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." But I say to you, offer no resistance to one who is evil. When someone strikes you on your right cheek, turn the other one to him as well. (Matt. 5:38-39)The Vatican says:
In the face of a man’s death, a Christian never rejoices, but reflects on the serious responsibilities of each person before God and before men, and hopes and works so that every event may be the occasion for the further growth of peace and not of hatred.
And this endless list goes on with the things JESUS SAYS that American Evangelical Christianity is rabidly against.
There is an even longer list of what Jesus said nothing about: Abortion, homosexuality, sex education and birth control. All of which are the mainstay issues of American Evangelical Christianity.
I am no expert on theological brain washing, but it seems that the key do this American corruption of Christianity is encapsulated in two words, "Faith Based". Once that is accepted as the BASIS of one’s religion, then everything else becomes just so much crap. Like logic, reason, actions, history, facts and even what Jesus Christ said and stood for. Which is the clinical definition of insanity.
I guess the only reason that we lock up those who see little green men in the electrical outlet is for the number of people who do or do not believe it. Whatever the most people believe is the truth. That is called "The Shit Method" of reasoning based upon Conclusion, Premise, Premise rather than the "The Scientific Method" based upon Premise, Premise, Conclusion.
