Glocksuckers! There are two lines of bullcrap in all this. First, Republicans mind you, are against laws that criminals won’t obey. WOWZER! So much for the War on Drugs and any need for police and court houses.
I find the second argument even more absurd. That the bill itself said anyone in government writing down a list of gun owners would suffer 15 years in the slammer. And the Republican argument is that this bill that would require background checks only for gun show and internet sales would lead to the government writing down a list of gun owners. Not just a lie but the opposite of the truth.
On this one I ask again. Trust me on this, within walking distance of your house there is a gun enthusiast with upwards of 25 and as many has hundreds of guns laying around the house. For the most part Ted Nugent crazy. Would you as a parent want your children to play in that house, or run around on that property? We know where some 18 year old who had sex with a 17 year old lives though.
And hey, I am easy on this one. Register all guns is just common sense which has been turned into some ultimate evil. After reading the comments on any website from gun enthusiasts it is more than obvious why they want anonymity, they are for the most part unstable paranoid Right-wing nutjobs who no one in their right mind would feel good about selling a gun to.
Those who really really want a gun, are the very ones who really really should not be able to have a gun.
I have a modest proposal. Register all guns but never take one away from anyone, instead take the gun enthusiasts away from the guns.
