[The man was subsequently completely cleared] During the Republican witch hunt, a wildfire burned through the area destroying the hard drive in question.Immediately Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and the GOP machine pushed out their conspiracy theory that Bill and Hillary Clinton personally had that wildfire started to destroy the evidence.
Houston July 2000. Local Right-wing radio host and owner of the two 24/7 right-wing radio stations in Houston and Dallas, Dan Patrick, picked up on the story from Rush Limbaugh. He made the most stunning IF I have ever heard. If President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton did indeed start this fire to destroy evidence to protect an act of treason, then they are party to that treason and deserve the death penalty.
Dan Patrick is now a State Senator here in Texas – using it as a jumping off board for his run for Governor sometime in the future. He is an evangelical Christian fundamentalist who is the power behind most every intolerant, bigoted, anti woman, anti gay, nastyass crap that comes out of Austin. His primary issue other than denying women reproductive rights, is to create a system of private school vouchers to replace public education in Texas with Private Christian schools. I must add that I think with the overflow of information, technology and the younger generation being what it is, getting Christian control of our schools is the only chance these people have of perpetuating their dominance in America.
