This kind of crap has been a mainstay of Republican politics for a generation. The semantic game of it is all equal or moral equivalency. It is Chick-fil-A, Christians, Heterosexuals and white people are deprived of free speech and equal rights. Even though they make up about 90% of the population who is in control of EVERYTHING. It’s their basis for the destruction of Affirmative Action. Who were and are the oppressors and who suffers the oppression are semantically removed from the game. Racism is defined only as slavery, lynching and burning crosses. Anything else is just not liking the lazy bums. Down here in Dumbutt I have heard not a few tell me “I am not a racist, I just don’t like NWORDS.” Which brings us to that intellectual capacity thing… Republicans have even taken Martin Luther King Jr to their side because of the “content of their character” phrase.
