Donald Trump says so many things that are completely over-the-top – and many that are arguably incorrect and disgusting, that it’s hard to keep up with them all. The Jimmy Kimmel show decided to have some fun by making up some bizarre statements and attributing them to Trump, then asking people in the street if they’ve heard of the wild stories in this segment of #LieWitnessNews.
I don’t know what it tells us that a lady claims to have seen a tweet made by Hitler, in which the dictator attempted to distance himself, by telling Trump to ‘kiss my wiener-schnitzel.’ It could be that History isn’t being taught as it once was, or perhaps the media is so pervasive that too much information is muddying the waters mentally.
If it seems pointless for Trump to ‘campaign’ with bathroom insults and non-issue related tripe; his campaign has made one element of the election process crystal clear. Candidates throw millions of dollars at ads and campaign trips, and often it seems as if the one who ‘buys’ the election wins. Trump has spent far less than any of the Republican hopefuls – yet he is in the lead! At last count, Trump had spent far less than $300K, and Jeb Bush – who is far behind, has spent in the neighborhood of $38 Million!
Do you remember the adage; ‘there is no such thing as bad advertising?’
