Jimmy Kimmel notes that there’s a rift between Republican moderates and Tea Party Republicans,as demonstrated in this ‘GOP ad’ parody which speaks volumes about the two ends of the spectrum and their tenuous bonds.
If you’ve wondered how long the GOP family tree could hold both branches of the Republican Party, it’s time to step out from under its shade. The cracking of branches breaking under the weight of too many nuts is quite audible.
While Republicans would love to be inclusive, they are starting to admit that their ‘freedom fighting’ cohorts “aren’t really helping.” The party which originally embraced Sarah Palin didn’t learn from the experience.
Author’s note: Besides ‘freedom fighting’ The TeaParty crowd have been known to engage; people of other races, skin colors and religions, commies, gun rights advocates, food stamps, welfare, arbiters of taste, deodorant, taxes, the Affordable Care Act and what they call socialism. (With the exception of Medicare, Social Security and Veteran’s Benefits, of course.)
