Senator Ted Cruz’s most recent attempt to make a zany campaign video, is every bit as tone deaf as his first attempt, and a zillion times more offensive. In Cruz’s first ill-fated attempt at humor five months ago, he made a video in which he impersonated his favorite Simpson’s characters -the effort is memorable only for its sheer creepiness.
There is no doubt that Donald Trump directly influenced Lindsey Graham’s humorous viral video, and perhaps those of other presidential hopefuls. After Trump shared Graham’s cell number with the world, Graham made a video in which he destroyed a phone in every possible way.
Obviously Cruz hoped to hop on the zany candidate bandwagon with a video that would appeal to gun-lovers. After all, Mitt Romney’s campaign attempted to humanize him, by showing a ‘typical’ family pancake breakfast with the family. At the Cruz brain trust, they must have thought it would be a hoot if Cruz could show breakfast Texas style! The cooking method involves wrapping a bit of fatty pork around the muzzle of an AR-15, covering the mess with foil, then blasting away. I’ve yet to see Martha Stewart’s version but will keep you posted.. This isn’t an original idea, it can be seen on Youtube, posted by other ammosexuals.
Tactless Cruz might have given some thought to the fact that he was preparing bacon with the same semi-automatic weapon that John Russell Houser used very recently in the Lafayette, Louisiana theater shootings. Another knee-slapper from Ted Cruz and the gun lobby. Just think. Cruz is one of the those who made the cut and will be participating in the most anxiously awaited Republican debate ever!
