Last April, workers at Middlesex Hospital in Connecticut called the police to report that a psychiatric patient named Mark Russo had threatened to shoot his mother if officers tried to take the 18 rifles and shotguns he kept at her house. Russo, who was off his medication for paranoid schizophrenia, also talked about the recent elementary school massacre in Newtown and told a nurse that he “could take a chair and kill you or bash your head in between the eyes,” court records show.
The police seized the firearms, as well as seven high-capacity magazines

Mr. Russo is getting his guns and ammo back today. He says he is back on his meds, though just doing the minimum the law requires.
We hear again and again that the answer to all this gun violence across the land is not to regulate guns but not allow nuts and felons to have guns. While we allow nuts and felons to buy and own and play with as many guns as they can fit in a ship container.
[And you know, it’s not even nuts and felons who cause the vast amount of damage, it’s people who know each other dispensing their anger in lead.]
We are all culpable in allowing George Zimmerman and Phil Robertson to represent America.
