MSNBC Morning Joe co anchor Mika Brzezinski has had a meltdown over MTV airing a sexual Miley Cyrus video at the VMA awards. She even had to go on other morning shows to express her horror that MTV would broadcast something so disgusting. And every time she brings it up, the video is played again and again. Beyond being shocked that MTV would air such a thing, all I really noticed out of the ordinary was the very very ugly hairdo. What’s with that?. A devil look? The rest of it I found little different than most any rap video, Madonna, Lady Gaga, or even Beyonce in skimpy lingerie shaking her booty.
From what I gather the horror is threefold. “Twerking” which I guess is rear ended sexual simulation. The restless tongue syndrome and that she is 20. All pandering to tween girls.
I was most surprised in all the hubbub to complaints that the tongue thing promotes oral sex to young women, which I was told has sky rocketed over the past several years. Ever since Linda Lovelace invented the process back in 1972 it has become ever more popular. In fact Republicans impeached a president of the United States for it not too long ago. My only response to that is wondering how many millions of unwanted pregnancies – and resulting abortions – this has curbed?
