I, me, my and Mine by Gruden Harger

George Carlin selfish republicans

I read this in the Houston Chronicle yesterday finding it the best example of who and what Republicans are these days and why they vote the way they do.

Excerpt from A-OK with Straight Ticket – Letter to the editor Houston Chronicle November 12, 2014

I’m a former issues and best man voter, back when the government was a peripheral influence in my life. Today the government tells me what size commode tank I can have, what kind of illumination is permissible in my home and runs up the price of many goods and services I buy (by energy policies) and endangers my life and pursuit of happiness with lackadaisical on-the-fly foreign policy decisions.

Gruden Harger, Houston

In just two sentences Gruden Harger references himself 7 times. There is no concern whatsoever for anyone or anything else other than Gruden Harger.

It is not so much that Mr Harger has no concern for our ever diminishing water supply, conserving energy smartly and cheaply, adding ever more pollution and heat to our air and water, and of course not enough foreign wars for Gruden Harger not to fight in. That all goes without saying as to what Republicans are and who they care about.

No, the issue is that in the past generation, mainly because of talk radio and Fox News, Gruden Harger feels so good about himself and his self serving callous nature, that he feels obligated to brag about it in one of the largest newspaper circulations in America.

So here is a boost for you Gruden. I noticed the internet was not aware of you. So here  you go! You name and words will now be on the Internet forever. And hey, if you ever do a search of yourself which will find this at the top of Google search, please email me a picture of yourself so I can add it to make your words even more proudly powerful than they already are.
