The fly in the ointment in all this is that they are correct, the confederate flag does indeed stand for Southern Heritage of slavery, racism, lynching, segregation, poverty, ignorance and inbreeding which causes that ugliness that grows among the Spanish moss, kudzu and the okra.
The screeching from these uglies about their freedom and liberty is absurd, they can fly their flags wherever they want, just no longer on government property, which should have been the case since 1866. But hey, 150 years behind in this and evolution is about par for the course.
