Labor is the costliest area of business, an evil necessity. The next biggest expense is making a product, and then of course the horror that kills profit, taxes. L. Ron Hubbard had it right, with free labor, no product and no taxes, religion is the most profitable business in the world. As such, one would think they could at least give you some fries rather that a stale cracker once a week.
The point Bill Maher makes – that if we paid fast food workers a livable wage, we would not all have to pay taxes to subsidize their food, housing and their emergency room health care – is way beyond the ability of Republicans to understand. After all, the average 29 year age fast food worker must work two full time retail jobs just to get by in an apartment. These people working 80 hours a week standing over a hot stove or cash register are what Republicans call lazy people. Moochers.
Name one nice, kind, pleasant or helpful thing a Republican has done for anyone other than themselves in the past 35 years.
