The National Prayer Breakfast made for strange table mates this year. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) is a constant and radical critic of President Obama. Louie Gohmert cheerfully broke bread with the President whom he claims, is out to destroy our country!
Gohmert tirelessly accuses the President of a connection to the Muslim Brotherhood, whom he claims are “bent upon taking over Egypt, setting up a caliphate around the world, including the United States.”
Furthermore, Gohmert continues, ” And this administration will been (sic) complicit in helping people who wants (sic) to destroy our country.” Gohmert also accuses Obama of stirring up “racial tension and violence” due (also) to his close bond with the Muslim Brotherhood, I presume.
Gohmert also accuses the President of being “intolerant of Christian service members.” This is the merely a taste of the Gohmert criticism of Obama, for which he openly and often proposes impeachment as the only means to rectify.
How odd, the President only said good things about Louie! In the peaceful and jovial atmosphere, the President even got laughs from his self-styled arch enemy, with complementary statements about Gohmert, whom it seems only spews fallacies about Obama, when he is well out of earshot.
“I, by the way, have always found Louie to be unbelievably gracious every time I’ve see him,” Obama said at the breakfast.
“Now, I don’t watch TV,” he added, drawing laughter from the audience of Republicans and Democrats both.
Obama – master of tact, finished complimenting Gohmert with the addition of: “He is a good man and a great storyteller.”
I can only presume that this line was well crafted to give Gohmert a bounce in his step, and to mean much more to those with ears to hear! In other words it was a graceful way to tell someone they’re a bald faced liar in such a way they are grateful for the insult.
Well done Mr. President!
