Olbermann Special Comment, Senate bill a perversion of health care reform

Keith Olbermann points out what the original bill has become in the quest for bi-partisanship, when in truth the legislators who have steered the bill through several incarnations into this abomination are merely highly paid prostitutes for the Insurance Cartel.

Keith Olbermann urges Senate Democrats to act now!  Howard Dean who calls it a bigger bail out than AIG, and others fought for real reform, but what we are looking at now is much worse than if they had let the old system continue, at least there was hope for improvement. This bill is accurately described as a hollow shell of the original concepts, and concessions. The American Insurance Cartel has won. The sick and uninsured have lost. Though it hardly seems possible, we will be in worse shape than before if this travesty is signed into law.

Those who carried signs about the evils of "socialized medicine" have helped the senate prostitutes bleed this bill until the Insurance Cartel will be able to charge older people and people with pre-existing conditions more. This bill is everything that the previous options attempted to avoid, and brings to reality the fears of the "protesters," for only the insurance companies will have control over what they charge, who is treated, and best of all, there is a government mandate to force you to purchase it or be fined, something people claimed was in the original version but wasn’t! This sounds much worse than the uninformed fears the protesters have been using to scare people away from "socialized" medicine.

No one has any control over what they charge. They truly are the dreaded "death panels" and they have been welcomed in at the expense of everyone, and the profit of the legislators who had much money to make, and no worries about health care themselves. Joe Lieberman has enjoyed his role in this drama and the attention he’s receiving.

Keith pleads with President Obama, and rightly points out that he will be hated either way, why not be hated for doing the right thing. He lauds those who have worked hard on our behalf, and names those who sold us for forty pieces of silver from the Cartel.
