Gold: Roger Ailes and other despicable propaganda cut and paste liars. The job they did this weekend of accusing the President of sanctioning violence, via their chop job which turned James Hoffa’s exhortation to vote, into a call to violence, with just seven carefully edited words is all too prevalent. The audience for this type of lying provocation would never search for the actual statement, preferring to slide downhill on a slippery slope of absolute bullcrap, and thank Ailes for the ride.
Silver: Sarah Palin, mother grizzly for special needs children, youbetcha. You may recall when the White House Chief of Staff referred to himself or a mistake he’d made as ‘retarded’ – there was a nuclear cloud over Wasilla, and a demand for a resignation! Obviously the Teabagger comedian at the Iowa rally was just so amusing that her protective claws were never unsheathed. If I didn’t know her to be such a good mother, I would start to think she was a hypocrite and an idiot.
Bronze: Mike Shaw – for the third day running! This time he’s only taking home third place. Shaw is the yahoo in charge of the ‘get out the vote’ raffle in Arizona, who defended the logic of raffling a Glock similar to that used in the Gabby Giffords massacre. That raffle went so well, despite criticism, that there is now a deer rifle in the offing. Tuscon City Councilman Steve Kozachik (R) ‘gets’ the blood money election horror and stupidity, and expresses it profoundly – a sure sign that Shaw and pals have their fingers stuck in their ears, humming loudly so they won’t hear him.
