Gold: The GOP debate crowd in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday. Only in a world where ‘reality TV’ is king is it possible that the most recent GOP ‘debate’ is still viewed, but rated highly. If that were not demoralizing enough the reaction of the live crowd of one percent wannabes to the most disgusting ideas proffered could all but destroy one’s faith in his fellow man.
Silver: Glenn Beck often warms this spot on the list. Oddly he stands here today accused by – of all people, Breitbart, proving there is no honor among thieves and liars. Beck stood unaccused of hucksterism, shams, scams and schemes by ‘Bart low these many years. Now Breitbart is spewing hateful hurtful(and deserved) things at Beck. What caused this tiff – is it a Christmas crisis of conscience on Bart’s part? If you wish to believe in miracles, hold onto that thought for a minute more. The truth shall set you free to loathe both of them once again.
Bronze: Gregg Jarrett Fox News anchor. In ‘ain’t that peculiar’ news, Jarret reports comparative unemployment numbers with a straight face; the graph that the Fox ‘News’ graphics elves have whipped up is anything but straight. We’d suspect they were hitting the Nog, if not for the decidedly anti-Obama slant this visual aid lends to the story. A favorite old-timer of mine from North Carolina used to call tales this tall ‘yarns’ – but he never reported his encounters with ‘bars’ as ‘News.’
