Worst: Gov. Sam Brownback of Kansas and the Thought Police. An 18-year-old high school senior, Emma Sullivan found out how sensitive Brownback is, and that his insult- sensing antennae extend into her very Twitter account. Idiocy ensued. Sullivan sums up the incident thusly: "I hope that the governor realizes the power of the people and how people can make things happen," she said. "I also hope he will spend his time doing more productive things." One can hope Emma, one can only hope. If you write this in your diary he’s more likely to see it.
Worser: Joe Lieberman, Senior Senator of Connecticut (really!) and the Internet Police. Joe is tough on terrorism. He will fight it from Google to the broader internet! Okay, technically he won’t be the one to act upon crackpot reports from the millions of Google blogs per se. It does show that he’s interested, and spit-balling ideas though!
Worse: Evil Rupert Murdoch and his Sleaze Patrol. In the midst of Murdoch’s investigation for wiretapping comes a bombshell from everyone’s (then) 13-year-old virginal sweetheart Charlotte Church. Murdoch’s shocking treatment of Church and her family illustrates all of the charges ever brought against him, tied up in one big pink bow. Bye bye Uncle Rupert!
