Golden: Newt Gingrich used his address to the National Association of Home Builders to show that he is in the know about the average American and his quaint dream of owning a home of his own. The entire thing was a bit tone deaf, and could have been improved if Gingrich had rented a few movies with ‘those people’ in them. Hollywood’s fantasy concept is miles closer than Newt’s for accuracy.
Oh, but Newt is not so fickle with his inner city renewal plan as he is with wives! Wait until you hear his plan to build work ethic in 30 school children, at the cost of only one union janitor! I know it’s an old theme, but it is expanding. Do you want self esteem and character building or silly ol’ unions and a (barely) living wage for adults? He is a visionary and a scholar. I’m certain I’ve heard him say so.
Worser: Dr. Ruth Jacobs of Maryland Citizens for a Responsible Government is using the law to ‘nefarious advantage,’ the better to harass and stigmatize transgender women as potential child molesters. With all of the attention priggish Jacobs is giving to all of the wrong people, in every bathroom stall in the state; she is most certainly the best thing ever to happen for the real child molesters of Maryland.
Worse: Bill O’Reilly and Bernard Goldberg of Fox ‘News’ The two settled the question of which one of them was a soul brother. Bill O’Reilly knows his Ice-T from his Ice Cube! He is virtually a Pale Panther after a 2007 dinner at Sylvia’s in Harlem. Impressed that a restaurant owned and run by black people was just like anywhere else, he famously continued,"There wasn’t one (other) person in Sylvia’s who was screaming, ‘M-Fer, I want more iced tea.’" Quote may be slightly off.
