Jessica Williams finds that Republicans are far more intolerant of political party intermarriage than Democrats, though I wonder at the sub heading here that “partyism now trumps racism”. If 94% of blacks vote for Democrats and 3% are undecided… Well you do the math, I hate math. Can a math and a non math person marry I wonder? What do you want to do tonight honey? Algebra or the Springsteen concert?
Race aside doesn’t the same hold true with religion? Pretend versus reality? Faith versus reason? Tolerance versus intolerance? That’s a heavy hitter. Though this Catholic married a Jewish princess and it has never been an issue. I guess when it comes to race, religion or politics it’s mostly about how intense it is. After all, how many times have we all said, “If you say Jesus one more fking time I am going to poke you in the nose with this poopstick.”
Of course the most well known example we have are Mary Matalin and James Carvelle now married for 23 years and running without event. But should we count two crazy bead people from New Orleans?
But in the defense of both sides, I doubt either side would go looking for someone in the other party, religion or race, rather love happens.
