Pat Robertson introduced another ‘chicken or egg’ conundrum, which may cause your head to hurt worse than the office party punch, the morning after. In this video, Pat Robertson answers a desperate woman’s question with a little side trip, which I can’t help but feel was more for his own benefit.
Pat explained that gays will “die out because they don’t reproduce.” He further intoned, “You know, they have to have heterosexual sex to reproduce.”
Why oh why didn’t the woman in the red dress ask him how – or who had sex to create homosexuals? Mind, the caller named Crystal, didn’t ask about homosexuality. He just threw this little bit of ‘wis-dumb’ in free of charge. I feel for the woman. Crystal is stuck in a church which doesn’t allow dating. In fact, it’s sinful to even think about the opposite sex in such a way. Everyone who is married, was ‘grandfathered in’ or arrived in the church that way. She had the misfortune of being raised in the church, which showed poor planning on the part of her parents. She sought Pat’s wisdom because a few of the spinsters and bachelors are about past pull date and wondering how they can remain free of sin – yet find a mate?
Well Duh Crystal…Get out of there! Even Pat got that one right, if he did take a confusing side trip to show how even a church can die out without some good old fashioned heterosexual lovin’…But the gays are going to die out – because they don’t reproduce? I’m so confused.
